Reckless driving under Sec. 545.401 is a more serious offense than a standard citation. Hill Country roads with curves and hills can involve more enforcement of speed and safe driving rules.

If mailing your response, postmark the envelope by the appearance date. TexasCourtHelp.gov has guidance on your options.

Eligible defendants in Blanco County can request a Driver Safety Course (DSC) to dismiss a traffic citation. Make this request at the JP court on or before your court date.
